  • Offers a safe place for participants to discuss their experiences.

  • Teaches participants how to assess for suicide and refer to care.

Wit and Reason did more than we expected as a consulting agency in many ways. First, they went above and beyond in helping us understand the data they collected and how it shaped our plan to create the best evidence-based curriculum possible. Second, they care very much about marginalized communities and value centering the actual (not perceived) needs of the population we’d be working with above what’s ‘trendy’ in the non-profit world. Finally, they are excellent collaborators and really trusted us in the process, and listened well.

Through coaching, I have learned invaluable practices from both the mindfulness and cognitive therapy practices. I came to coaching wanting to improve my self-confidence, stress management, and ability to set positive boundaries in my life. After assessing my goals, Dr. Alexis wrote out a game plan and held me to reaching my goals. Her coaching has helped me better manage my stress, tune deeper into myself, incorporate mindfulness into my everyday life, and confidently navigate high-pressure social and work events. I can’t thank Wit & Reason enough for the freedom I have found from racing thoughts and anxiety. I am so thankful for Dr. Alexis and I highly recommend working with her to achieve your goals.

Crisis Coping Support & Workshops

I’ve attended several COVID Coping Workshops with Dr. Moreno and Alex Honigman, and both are extremely compassionate, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They skillfully taught me practical DBT skills and concepts that I could immediately use to improve my current situation. I’m grateful for their effective and meaningful support, and I strongly recommend them. Thank you!
— Deb
As a healthcare provider that works in an internal medicine practice, I have referred patients to counselors/social workers for management to help patients achieve a comprehensive treatment plan. However, I myself have not had the experience to go through counseling or coping skill workshops that I have found to be insightful to help me better understand my own perceptions/emotions and ways to navigate through those raw feelings. This experience also served as an opportunity to learn more about different coping techniques that I can share with my patients. Now more than ever, it’s important to strengthen our own ability to cope with all the consequences of health risks, financial changes, and other uncertainties that have emerged with this COVID crisis. In the end, we are all capable of great things despite adversities and in these difficult times, our resilience will guide us through this challenge. Highly recommend these sessions and other services available.

I had the opportunity to participate in the COVID Coping workshops with both Dr. Alexis and Alex who are great counselors. They are easy to talk to given their genuine interest in helping others. Very knowledgeable about DBT and all the aspects from addressing interpersonal relationships to how we can regulate our emotions. I would highly recommend their counseling sessions.
